About me

I’m Charlotte, founder and creative director of Sevunar Interiors. With a strong creative eye and a passion for thoughtful design, I create spaces that blend personality, practicality, and timeless style. Each project is approached with care and individuality — ensuring that every home or business feels distinctly you.

Originally from Kent, I settled in South Manchester in 2009. My love for design was nurtured early on by creative parents and hands-on home projects. It grew stronger through my travels around the world and five years living in the Middle East (Kuwait and Oman). Those experiences deepened my appreciation for craftsmanship, antiques, and the stories behind objects — influences that still shape my approach today.

Before founding Sevunar Interiors, I worked in financial services, where I developed the organisation and project-management skills that now support every design process. My own renovation projects — from transforming a 1930s family home to redesigning and selling a rental property — this gave me first-hand experience of what it takes to bring a vision to life, from concept to completion (and a willingness to get my hands dirty along the way!).

Since launching my Interiors business in 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of designing a wide range of residential and commercial spaces — from thoughtful room refreshes to full-scale renovations. Including creating my own paint colour "Oh Boysenberry" with Coat Paints. My goal is always to create environments that balance form and function, feel harmonious, and evolve beautifully over time.

Your home should tell your story — your house, your rules.

Philosophy

SEVUNAR INTERIORS

The foundations of Sevunar (Sev-unar) Interiors are built upon a set of core principles that intertwine to create a thoughtful process — one that expresses design as a reflection of balance, emotion, and intention.

The Meaning of Seven

The name Sevunar draws inspiration from both design and the human experience.

In sensory processing, our seven senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, movement, and balance — allow us to interpret and connect with the world around us. These senses shape how we experience every environment, influencing mood, comfort, and emotional connection.

Similarly, there are seven key principles of interior design: balance, harmony, rhythm, proportion and scale, emphasis, contrast, and detail. Each plays a vital role in creating cohesive, meaningful spaces that not only look beautiful but feel right.

At Sevunar Interiors, these two sets of sevens — the senses and the design principles — merge to form the foundation of our philosophy. Every space is crafted to engage the senses and embody harmony, creating interiors that are not only visually refined but functional.

Lunar — The Principle of New Beginnings

The word Lunar draws inspiration from the new moon — a timeless symbol of renewal, reflection, and possibility.

In many traditions, the new moon represents a moment to pause, set intentions, and begin again with clarity and purpose. It reminds us that every new phase brings the opportunity to grow, to refine, and to create something meaningful.

This idea of fresh beginnings and mindful intention sits at the heart of my design process. Each project is approached with openness and care — a chance to re imagine, reset, and craft a home that truly reflects balance, beauty, and the people who live within it.
